One-time setup. First create a database and a user in cPanel (MySQL Databases), then fill them in here.

The code is in install-code.txt in the plan-data folder on the server (File Manager, next to the web folder).

Admin

Same order, same words, same patterns in every Control app — only the top half differs per app.

Appearance

Two designed themes, not a filter. It follows your Mac or phone unless you choose. The choice is saved with your account, so your laptop and your phone look the same.

Theme

Studio is for the screen that sits next to a DAW all day: neutral graphite, an orange accent, and project colours as the whole block — like a region in a track.

Density
Project colours

Twelve colours that stay apart from each other in a calendar without any of them shouting louder than the rest.

Grounds

The four planes — desk, window, surface and row — sit at fixed distances from each other. These two numbers set where the darkest one lies and how far the rest climbs off it, so you can make the whole thing gentler on the eyes without flattening the depth. Light and dark each keep their own setting.

Email

Run automatically

The reminder goes out on its own as soon as someone opens the app, at most once a day. To send it even when nobody logs in, put this URL in a cron job (daily, for example at 8:00).

Calendars from elsewhere

Show a Google, Apple or Outlook calendar next to your planning — handy for marketing dates, holidays or your own agenda. In Google Calendar: open the calendar's settings, scroll to Integrate calendar and copy the Secret address in iCal format. Anyone with that link can read the calendar, so keep it to yourself. Reading only: nothing is written back.

Demo Control link

Two directions. Coming in: enter the key below in Demo Control and a release there lands here as a project with a plan, in one click.

Going out: where Demo Control lives, so a release sheet can pull its tracks in on catalogue number. The read key is in Demo Control under Admin → Settings → Links → "Deze app uitlezen".

Dropbox (backup of the project files)

Every file on a project is pushed to a Dropbox app folder — the key can only reach that one folder, nothing else. Fill in the same app key and secret as in Demo Control and it is literally the same folder, so the files of a release land next to its masters and artwork. Let your Synology mirror that folder with Cloud Sync and the backup takes care of itself. Need a new app: dropbox.com/developers, access "App folder", scope files.content.write.

Update via GitHub

Pulls the latest release straight from GitHub — no FTP, works from your phone too. Same checks (backup, syntax check, right app) as a manual zip.

Or upload a codebase zip by hand (e.g. plan-control-v1.1.0-codebase.zip). The app makes a backup first, checks the new files for errors and then swaps them in.

If something ever goes wrong and the app won't open, go to /recover.php and restore the previous version with your moderator login.
